Driving Experience — Does It Feel Like a National Car?
Short answer: no — and that’s a massive compliment. The eMas 7 drives with the confidence of a car that knows it doesn’t need to apologise for its origins.
We tested the Long Range AWD variant, and the punch from standstill is genuinely startling. Floor it from a traffic light in KL and the 3.9-second 0–100 km/h time is entirely believable — it slams you back with that characteristic EV urgency that never really gets old.
Refinement on the highway is where the SEA platform earns its keep. Wind noise is well-suppressed up to 110 km/h, and the suspension soaks up Malaysian tarmac — including those joyful PLUS highway expansion joints — with composure. It’s not as floaty as a Volvo EX90, but it’s far more planted than you’d expect at this price point.
